Dog Show Schedule

The show is open to both pedigree and non-pedigree dogs.  

Puppies under six months are most welcome for socialisation but not for competition. 

Please, if your bitch is in season, leaver her at home!

Times

Entries taken from:    10.00am

Judging commences:  11.00am – Obedience & Novelty

                                     1.30pm – Pedigree

Judges will be taking lunch between 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Conditions

Entry fees (per dog): £3.00 first class, £1.00 each subsequent class.

Beautiful rosettes to 6th place in ALL classes

Trophies for Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show

Pedigree Classes 

Any dog awarded a ‘CC’ may only compete or show HC*, (Hors Concors – you’ll both be judged, but will not be eligible to win a prize).

Class 1          Any Variety Puppy (6-12mths)

Class 2          Any Variety Sporting

Class 3          Any Variety non-Sporting

Class 4          Any Variety Veteran (7 years and over)

Class 5          Any Variety Open

Novelty Classes

Class 6           Cutest puppy (6-12mths)

Class 7           Dog in best condition

Class 8           Bitch in best condition

Class 9           Best veteran (7 years and over)

Class 10         Best cross breed

Class 11         Best rescue

Class 12         Handsomest dog

Class 13         Prettiest bitch

Class 14         Best odd couple

Class 15         Dog with the waggiest tail

Class 16         Dog Judge would most like to take home

Class 17         Dog most like its owner

Class 18         Dog with best trick

Class 19         Friendliest Dog and Handler (open to Companion Dog Club Members only)

Obedience Classes

Ineligible for a class?  You are very welcome to compete HC*, (see above).  Training rounds will be available at any level throughout the day, at £1.00 per go.  Stays, (in all classes), are in sight and in a dedicated ‘Stays’ ring.

Class 20         Strugglers – open to all dogs or handlers never having won a first prize in any 

                                            obedience competition.

Class 21         Triers – open to dogs never having won a first prize at this level.

Class 22         Go-Getters – open to all except dogs placed in test ‘B’ or ‘C’ at Open or Championship competitions.
